domestic engineering at it's finest.....

The beauty of not getting around to taking the leaves out of the table after Thanksgiving....

Plenty of space to fold :)

I had to take a picture, because I got all the laundry done today.  Clearly a fine moment in the land of house wifery.

Some observations on a weeks worth of laundry....
*Dylan had 6 pairs of pajamas that made it to the wash, and only 1 pair of underwear....oye
*Stella had twice as many pajamas as clothes....a true testament to how often I've gotten out of the house these days :)

Have a good day all!

Ha! Every so often I remind the girls that they need to change their underpants EVERY DAY. And they have these looks on their faces like they're wondering how on EARTH I could know that lol!

Have I ever shared with you my laundry schedule? It has made my life SO much less consumed by laundry and I never have days like you had today anymore!

Here it is:
M - Girls clothes
T - Mine & Dave's darks
W - Mine & Dave's whites
Th - small load of girls clothes + iron
F or S - Sheets
S - off

I throw towels in there randomly when a load needs a little extra. So I usually have 2 loads on M (when it is jeans weather) and 1 the rest of the week. That way I get a whole load washed, dried, folded & put away in a day and never have a mountain of clothes anymore! And I never feel like I spend an entire day doing laundry. This is by far, the only thing I've been consistent with over the last year - I always make cleaning schedules that never last, but this one has.

that pretty much looks the same as my living room floor...I don't seem to have a problem in the underwear (well except for Brendan) I believe the other three change underwear every time they change their clothes and some days that three or four times.

Jana- I LOVE the idea of your schedule. I tell myself all the time that if I would just do 2 or 3loads a day and put it away as it comes out, it would be so much easier! I may have to try again :) I have gotten into the habit of folding on the table now tho, so it HAS to get put away...that is the hardest part for me.
