...and 3 days after Austin turned 11,  Ellery turned 3!

Wow, that will do a number on your heart.

Somehow she went from being a really clingy baby...which I probably had a lot to do with, to a pretty independent little girl that talks non-stop, tells me how it is, and no longer needs me to hold her.

Sure wish there was a way to keep her little...sigh.

 

On the upswing, we are officially done buying diapers for the first time in 11 years.

 

 

  

 

 

Some thoughts at 3...

*She still loves her pink pig, and must have it to sleep.
*She is now pacifier free!
*She will finally pray willingly...without tears, defiance, or getting shify eyed at the sight of Tim. (She spent alot of meals just sitting and watching us eat this past year, due to her strong will).
*She talks non stop, and will repeat something 82 times if you don't grab her and acknowledge her statement with words and eye contact.  She will not accept a "yes" or "no" nod...even if you are looking at her...she will just keep asking.
*Loves to run around begging you to chase her and "get her bunners".  She has a cute little butt shake that she does, that might not be so cute in 10 years :)
*Loves Dora the Explorer, Barney, The Care Bears, and Strawberry Shortcake...tho "Dorla" is her favorite.
*She doesn't talk quietly...she shouts most of her statements....and Tim enjoys shouting back at her.
*She is potty trained, dry most nights, and sleeps in a bed.
*Every gift she gets, she makes a point of saying "This is mine...not Stella's...it's for me."
*If you call her anything endearing....princess, pretty...etc.  She will say "I not a princes, I Eluweeee!"

I  do love this age, even though I don't want her to grow up. We are constantly amused by her authentic antics, and she keeps up laughing!
