some more dinnertime fun....

dynamic duo

dylan has shown her the ropes and these 2 have officially joined forces in creating trouble! stella absolutely adores him though he is constantly in her face, lying on top of her, or pulling her arms. she is constantly laughing at him....and if she's crying he can almost always make her happy with his antics.

we love spring

some observations from our walk tonight....

-walking with a 7,6,4 and 1 year old is definately easier than walking with a 6,5,3 and newborn

-if 3 of your children are on scooters- always take band-aids along

-when a sentence is started with "hey mom, watch this trick" ... there's a good chance it will end up in tears.

-carrying a scooter, a 4 year old, and pushing a 1 year old in a stroller up hill exerts just enough energy to give you the workout you desired

-carrying a scooter is much easier than carrying a bike

-if there are worms on the ground, they will end up in a certain 4 year olds pocket

-there is a difference between a boy rock and a girl rock....and i am now educated

-always strap down the 1 year old. she gets very excited and likes to lean over to see if she can touch the ground.

-when you stop to decipher every sound, look at every dead bug and wave to every passing motorist/jogger you don't walk very far

oh how i love spring and taking walks!

a night with the needhams

Tim took Sydney out on a date this past Friday night to a Father/Daughter banquet the local Christian radio station was putting on. She had been looking forward to it for a couple months and counted down the days. Well, the banquet consisted of dinner and a concert put on by Jimmy Needham. There was no dancing much to Sydneys dismay, but she got over it. After the concert they waited in line and Tim bought her a cd and poster to get autographed by Mr. Neeham. Well let me just say this girl is quite the smitten kitten. She now goes to her room to "listen to her music", and Mr. Needham has made it to the top of her prayer request list, that he can continue to "spread the love." It's really cute.

this beautiful girl is 6!

okay, i promise this is the last birthday post!!! The joke around here is that we only procreate in May on Tim's birthday, thus resulting in so many February birthdays:)

Some thoughts on Sydney at 6...

*She is quite the little lady, and refuses to wear jeans. We invest in tights over here.

*Her favorite color is still pink.

*She LOVES to craft. Therefore, there are ALWAYS little scraps of paper floating around underneath the kitchen table and random google eyes stuck to the table. She comes by it honestly though :)

*She shows her love by making us crafts and putting them on our pillows... it's really sweet. in the summer she fills dixie cups with flowers and places them all over the house. in the fall she tapes pretty leaves to everyones walls :)

*Her dolls, barbies, ponies, pollys are tucked away in her closet and never see the light of day... no interest.

*She is a very responsible little girl. She has been taking care of April (her pet hampster) for a year now and does an excellent job!

*She LOVES to organize.

*She loves to dance... especially with her dad.

*She is our "other" firstborn. She is the leader/boss of the kids......sometimes a little too much :)

*She's our "go-getter". From the second she wakes up she has ideas of what we need to play, create, get done etc.

*She is my little helper. She loves to wash the floor, windows, dishes, dust, clean toilets etc.

*She is the sweetest girl with a very easy going temperment. She is always looking for ways to help others. She is very kind and thoughtful.

*She does an excellent job of looking out for her brothers and sisters.

*She will make an awesome mother someday! She loves her little sister and is a HUGE help with her.

Happy Birthday Sydney, we love you! You are a beautiful gift from God!
